We believe that too many people struggle to accomplish their goals because too much precious energy is wasted in doubt, confusion, conflict, and fear. The Emotus Operandi is a system that helps to convert that wasted energy into productive work.
The system is based on the best social science of how to create effective work environments and combines face-to-face work with Web 2.0 technology. Participants come together in a facilitated process to clarify goals and develop realistic work plans for the next 3 months. This is fed into a fun, easy-to-use website that helps participants track progress and maintain social ties with fellow participants. Facilitated bi-weekly meetings provide opportunities for participants to re-connect with others, re-focus efforts, and get practical peer-to-peer advice. Every three months, participants review their progress, re-energize, and developed a new, focused plan for the next three months.
The system is specifically designed to tap into the growing "creative class" of knowledge workers, "innerpreneurs," creative people, and social change agents who often work alone or in small groups.
We are currently in a "proof of concept" phase and have a few investors and a team of 10 people with diverse backgrounds including personal coaching, group facilitation, marketing and branding, and web development in place. We are looking for additional seed funding to pay for the development of the initial website and expenses associated with running a "trial run" of the system.
We are looking for about $40k to start. Investors would get equity in the company - the percentage to be negotiated. We have created some growth and profit projection models - a "slow" "medium" and "fast" growth model - for the first 5 years. A "net present value" valuation model shows a valuation between 3 mil for the slow model to 50 mil for the fast growth. Obviously, these are simply financial predictions on paper, but that are based on realistic assumptions (all clearly indicated in the models).
We can provide more detailed information for interested investors.
